FRONT NINE
Course Description | Back Nine
Hole #1 The first hole at Eagle Knoll is a slight dogleg left. Position yourself in the right side of the fairway off the tee to improve your angle to the green. The elevated green will require your approach shot to remain air born until it lands safely on its surface. Large grass bunkers short of the green, and sand bunkers to the left and beyond the green, await any errant shots. Hole #2 This picturesque par 3 demands proper club selection to negotiate the severe downhill elevation change. The wind will often swirl over this short hole, and natural hazards guard the large green on all sides. Hole #3 This par 4 is the first test of your strength. Clearing the 100-foot gorge and avoiding the fairway bunkers will be your first test. This will leave you a mid to long-iron shot uphill to a well-bunkered green. Hole #4 Accuracy is key to this par 4. Favoring the right side of the fairway will take the gorge and fairway bunkers out of play on the left. Your approach will be uphill to a two-tiered green. Hole location will be important when gauging proper club selection.
Hole #7 This reachable par 5 is your first good opportunity for birdie. Favoring the left side of the fairway will set up a choice between going for the green or laying up to approximately 80 yards. The creek that guards the front and the undulating slope of the green make for a challenging landing area for shots hit with a long iron or woods.
Hole #9 A well-placed tee shot will avoid the fairway bunkers on this par 5. This double dogleg (right then left) will challenge you to go for the green in two. Beware of the unseen bunker complex that awaits. The #9 green is surrounded by 5 green side bunkers. The safe play is to the fairway that is left - beyond your sight line.
